Worship Team
Throughout history, music has been and always will be an integral part of the worship experience. Since the beginning of the Church, Christians have used "contemporary" music, written in their day, to uplift and motivate, and to worship the Lord. At Woodford Community Christian Church, our worship service features the high-energy praise and heart-felt worship music of today enriched, every now and then, by a majestic hymn from our heritage. We attempt to bring people into a closer relationship with Christ through song, music, video and drama.
Our Praise Band ("Frontline") is comprised of volunteer members who love to praise the Lord with their musical talents. From drums, electric and bass guitar, each musical instrument is used to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Our "Frontline" singers are also an important part of our worship. Each person is uniquely talented and seeks to use their God-given abilities in humble service to Him. We use a full-time "worship leading choir" ("The Bridge") that also assists in leading worship on Sunday mornings.
There are many opportunities for ministry with the Music and Worship Ministry team. In addition to opportunities for musicians and singers, there is also a need for drama, dancing, lighting, sound, recording, camera operators, computer graphics, and stage coordination.
Instrumental and vocal rehearsals take place weekly; and drama rehearsals are conducted as needed. If you are interested in any area of our worship ministry, please contact the church office or Jeremy Lalk, Worship Minister at 873.7421.
